Jerry Mussack
Chief Operating officer - California


One Bread Foundation, Inc. Board Member since 2023

Jerry is an experienced information technology professional with a diverse background that includes teaching, coaching, consulting, and executive leadership. He has worked in many industries and currently serves as the head of IT for a series C SaaS startup. 

In addition to his business career, Jerry has volunteered his time and expertise to serve on church and school boards. Jerry earned his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and his Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. 

Jerry is proud to bring his extensive experience and dedication to One Bread Foundation to help fulfill the call to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8). 

 

Paulo Henrique Pereira
Data Analytics Research & Brand impact - brazil

I am a language enthusiast who turned a data and analytics fan, I envision a future where my data expertise seamlessly merges with my language skills, enabling me to make a positive impact on the world through missionary work and Bible translation. I am passionate about using data to bring about positive change, and I am excited to embark on a career that aligns with my faith and aspirations. In my free time, I cherish the company of my beloved wife, exploring nature's wonders, immersing myself in literary adventures, tending to my flourishing garden, and spending quality time with my furry companions.

Manager of data analytics - California

My passion in Data Analytics comes from a love of storytelling. My entire life, and the very way I see the world, has been shaped through the stories I encounter. They have helped me become a better husband, a better father, and have stirred my affections for the indescribable and eternal yearning I have for the Great Hope of the hereafter. I believe that, especially today, we need great stories in our lives. And in this increasingly noisy world, data analysis can cut through the complexity to find the stories for our generation.

 

Fabjola Kasaj
Sr. Data Analyst & analytics team lead - California


Fabjola is a business analyst focused on data management and integration by providing insights on product quality performance.  She believes that well processed information and analysis can lead to better decisions.  She likes travelling and getting to know new cultures. She is passionate about volunteering and community involvement.

 

Sung Keum
Data Analyst - Washington

After serving in the US army, where I had the great fortune to travel to Korea, Germany, and Poland, I moved back to Seattle, WA, where I was raised. As a recent graduate of Business Analytics at Golden Gate University, I am working towards a career in business/data analytics. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working out at the gym, and going to new cafes and restaurants.

 

Alan Lam
Data Analyst - South Carolina

Alan was born in bustling Hong Kong and raised in laid-back Myrtle Beach, SC. After serving in the US Army and graduating from Coastal Carolina University, he now works as a data analyst to help organizations find meaningful insights and make better decisions. Outside of work, he explores his creative side by writing haiku poems and developing data visualizations. His service to One Bread was inspired by someone else’s kindness to “pay it forward.”

Pooja Deshmukh
UI/UX Designer - California



Pooja Deshmukh is a UI/UX Designer based in the Bay Area. She recently completed her Bachelor's degree in Design at the University of California, Davis, and her enthusiasm for all things creative fuels her professional journey. Pooja aspires to bring a fresh perspective to user-centered design, aiming to make a positive impact on the community through her work. Outside of her design pursuits, she enjoys various activities like swimming, reading, and cooking.

 

Cara Elzie
Social Media Manager - Washington



Cara Elzie is a Social Media Manager & Contributing Writer for One Bread Foundation, Inc. Elzie is currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & History with a minor in Justice Studies and Sustainable Food Systems. After graduation, she plans to go to law school and work as a capital defense lawyer appealing death row cases. In addition to volunteering with One Bread Foundation, Elzie works with the American Red Cross, specially the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Action Campaign with the goal of spreading awareness about why IHL is important. When not in school or volunteering, Elzie enjoys spending her free time, reading, traveling, running, playing music, and practicing ASL.

 
 

Marcus Martinez

A graphic designer with a year of experience working in a studio, Marcus has recently graduated Sacramento City College with a certificate in graphic design. His clients have ranged from small businesses to non-profits. He’s motivated to know and make an impact towards his clients’ larger goals.

 

Hayley Wong
UI/UX Designer - California


Hayley Wong is an event planner from Singapore with four years of experience planning and executing multiple corporate and personal events. She is passionate about giving back to the community and feels strongly about serving the underserved communities around her. Hayley believes that every child deserves to feel safe and protected. In her free time, Hayley likes reading and taking walks around her neighborhood. She enjoys a good cup of boba, and is always open to trying new flavors and any new boba shops she comes across.

Clare Chambers is a Contributing Writer and Editor for One Bread Foundation, Inc. Clare is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing with a minor in Christian Studies. After graduation she plans to work in publication helping other people’s voices and stories be heard while writing her own books to publish. When not working or being at school, Clare likes to spend time with her loved ones, reading, writing, or playing with her dog.

 

Caroline Crider
Blogger - United kingdom



Raised in New York City, Caroline is passionate about fighting for the underdog. Graduating from Carleton College in 2020, she has worked as an ELL teacher in Buenos Aires and as a journalist for The Borgen Project, an international campaign to downsize global poverty. She loves researching an issue deeply in order to give voice to those who are disenfranchised. Caroline is currently completing a literature masters at King's College London where she researches Early Modern antisemitism and systems of power.

 

Maria K. Garcia

Maria is a native New Yorker, having studied Advertising & Marketing Communications with a Minor in Economics at the Business School of SUNY FIT. During her education, Maria held a number of editorial and public relations roles for the likes of Examiner.com and Nike Communications. She has over 10 years of experience in the PR realm, having worked for Jim Mannino PR for clients like Delta Airlines, Facebook, U.S. Open Tennis, the New York Knicks, and Tiffany & Co., where she later went in-house. Maria is passionate about helping others and advocating for those in need.

 

Erika Jordheim
Writer and editor intern - minnesota


Erika is a recent graduate of the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN. She graduated in May of 2023 with a Bachelor's of Science in English with a Writing concentration and is currently serving with Americorps as an Elementary Reading Tutor in Maple Grove, MN. She is excited for the opportunity to use her editing and writing skills to help the children that One Bread Foundation supports, as well as build on those skills and use them to prepare for her professional career. In her free time, she enjoys writing creatively, spending time with loved ones, making jewelry, and both playing and listening to music.

Ashley Dupont
Director of Education - California

Ashley is a Pepperdine University graduate with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Social Work. She resides in California but frequently visits Boston, Massachusetts.

Her academic journey ignited a passion for empowering others, firmly believing in the importance of being heard, understood, and supported. In her free time, Ashley enjoys road trips and painting. She's now preparing for a Master's program to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Ashley Biggs
Accountant - Delaware


Hi, my name is Ashley Biggs, and I am from Camden, DE.  

I have lived in Delaware for nearly ten years, and the reason why I moved to Delaware was because I wanted to live closer to family and job opportunities.  

I am originally from Georgia, and I have attended college at Georgia Southwestern State University and graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Accounting.  

I currently work as an Income Auditor at Harrington Raceway and Casino and worked there for over 2 years.  

I also volunteer at Operation Paws for Homes, an organization that provides shelter and medical treatment for rescued dogs and cats. As a volunteer, I would assist the Bookkeeper with calculating total donations for each month and send out emails to donors thanking them for their contributions to our events.  

During my spare time, I enjoy reading, solving puzzles, and playing with my dog.  

 

Nana Darfoor
QuickBooks Bookkeeper - Georgia

Nana Darfoor, lives in Lawrenceville, GA where he has an accounting and bookkeeping practice, a venture that allows him to blend his professional goals with his passion for community service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s in Professional Accountancy, both from Georgia State University.

A parent to two children, including a child with autism, has been an ever enriching and enlightening experience for him. When not working or volunteering, Nana finds joy in cooking and photography.

Nana is thrilled to be a part of One Bread and looks forward to contributing his skills and enthusiasm to further the organization’s mission and positively impact our community.

 

Terri Helpman

Terri Helpman has been working in the accounting field for over 25 years maximizing my knowledge in many different types of businesses. Living in Toledo, OH her entire life, she graduated cum laude from Monroe County Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.

She has a twin brother who has three beautiful daughters that she loves dearly. Her joy is found by helping others and being “present” at all times.

 

Shawntia Jones

Shawntia Jones, a proud South Florida native, earned her degree and multiple certifications from Broward College, equipping her with a broad skill set and diverse expertise. With extensive experience in executive assistance, project planning, schedule management, logistics, and bookkeeping, she excels in various professional areas.

Shawntia has contributed to the consulting, education, and leadership sectors nationwide. Her proficiency extends to research, operations, and client support. Known for her exceptional organizational skills, she adeptly plans and executes complex projects and administrative systems. Shawntia thrives in dynamic environments, leveraging her foresight and proactive approach to anticipate needs and drive success

Nilesh is a licensed CPA in California and is originally from San Diego. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in business economics at the University of California, Irvine, he has worked as an accountant and business consultant for over a dozen different businesses across a wide range of industries. Nilesh recently moved to San Francisco and is excited at the opportunity to give back to a community that has welcomed him warmly since he moved there. Outside of work his passions are basketball, reading, football, traveling, and being the proud owner of a Labradoodle named Nyla.

Director, Finance Department - PENNSYLVANIA


Devi is a passionate accounting professional, currently living in Pennsylvania. She started her career in Auditing in Singapore and later worked as an Accountant in Medical Device & Telecom domains. She is committed to give back to the community in every opportunity and in every way possible, not just money. She enjoys listening to music, dancing and spending time with her family.

PHILIP AUDET
IT SUPPORT - OHIO




Philip is currently employed as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at a consulting firm with a focus on public projects. His work history includes providing direct care to children with developmental disabilities and adults with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Philip has been a tech enthusiast for as long as he can remember and especially enjoys helping people get the most out of the tools they utilize on a daily basis.

 

mATTHEW lARSON
IT mANAGER

Matthew, a dedicated IT professional with over 22 years of experience, has worked with both large and small companies. His expertise lies in relationship-building, mentoring, and optimizing a company's IT infrastructure. Recently, he completed his Master of Science in Management of Technology at the University of Minnesota's Technology Leadership Institute. As part of his academic journey, he had the opportunity to visit Vietnam and South Korea, gaining insights into how these countries are adapting to new technologies and the outsourcing of manufacturing. In addition to his professional commitments, Matthew is actively involved in his wife's nonprofit, The Parrots Umbrella. He is eagerly looking forward to contributing to One Bread's technological growth.

 

MARC CHARLES
IT SUPPORT - MARYLAND


Originally from Florida, Marc Charles relocated to Maryland after being stationed there in the Army. He served as an intel analyst for six years and has since decided to go back to college to pursue a degree within his interests of Music and Computer Science.

 

Aaron Mussack

Computers have been a constant tool in Aaron’s life, so interface navigation has become second nature. He hopes that this skill will help on the digital side of this mission and leave a positive footprint on his journey. Aaron has also worked as a tutor and teacher's assistant in the STEM field.

Adam Smith has worked professionally across many fields and studies, bringing strategies and experiences to the table. He has worked all over the world taking on many different forms of challenges to unite people together. LEGAL RESEARCH ANALYST - CALIFORNIA 

Nikky is a J.D. Candidate at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained a BS in neuroscience and a BA in economics. Shortly after graduating, she co-founded a non-profit that helped small and local businesses transition to an online landscape during the pandemic. She has experience in teaching entrepreneurship, project management, web design, and marketing as well. Upon graduating from law school, she hopes to continue learning and giving back to the community.

 

Jingyi He
Legal Research Analyst - California

Jingyi received her Master of Laws degree from University of California, Irvine in 2022 after earning her Bachelor of Laws degree from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2021. She hopes to use what she has learned to help others. At present, she is preparing for the New York State Bar Exam, and plans to apply for law school in the future to pursue a JD degree.

 

Halie Hooper
Legal Research Analyst - Indiana

Halie is a currently a law student at Southern Illinois University Law School in Carbondale, Illinois. She plans to graduate with a concentration in Business and Transactional Law. She is from Evansville, Indiana, and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a specialization in Management, from University of Evansville. She is eager to begin using her education to help advocate and support those in need and help her community.

 

Yegor Kazarin

Yegor grew up in the Bay Area. He went to the University of California, Santa Cruz for a double major in Computer Science and Economics. He is currently enrolled at the Santa Clara University School of Law, and hopes to pursue a career in Intellectual Property.

Oyun is currently living in Pennsylvania. She recently earned her Master of Laws degree from Pennsylvania State University, University Park. Oyun’s hobbies include baking, gym, and reading. Being with nature gives her a sense of beautiful peace.

 

IJEOMA NNANTAH
LEGAL RESEARCH ANALYST - NIGERIA


Ijeoma is a First-Class graduate of Law. As a trained SDGs Knowledge Facilitator and Advocate, she worked at the Civil Center for Peace, Justice and Development, Human Rights as an Advocate representing the interests of women, girls and children from 2021 - 2022. After her service at the Center, she was awarded with the 2022 Woman of the Year Gender Justice Award. She’s also worked as a Capital Markets Associate at the Law firm of Banwo & Ighodalo. She is currently working towards furthering her education in International Law with a concentration in International Human Rights Law.

Sabrina Aguero
director, public policy - Florida



Sabrina holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida, and a LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree in Intercultural Human Rights Law from St. Thomas University College of Law. She resides in Miami, Florida where she was born and raised. Sabrina has over five years of experience working in plaintiff's firms. She is passionate about human rights and hopes to be an advocate for the protection of human rights.

 

GEORGIANNE DEFEO
intern, public policy - massachusestts

Georgianne is working toward earning her bachelor's degree in political science at Middlebury College. Passionate about policy and women's rights, she has built much of her academic course load around learning about the advertisement and sexualization of women around the world. She looks forward to attending school abroad in Copenhagen where she will take a course on the sex trade. After college, she plans to attend law school and use what she's learned to work toward real change.

 

Neil Lasky
Manager, Public Policy  - North Carolina

In his 20's and 30's, Neil pursued two careers, both helping vulnerable children - the first career for 7 years in law and public policy, assisting immigrants and children of immigrants; and the second for 8 years as a high school teacher, assisting "at risk" children. For the next 25 years, as Neil and his wife raised 4 children, he worked in a third career as an independent recruiter, and also volunteered as a coach of 60 youth soccer teams. Now, with his children graduated, Neil continues to work as a recruiter, while volunteering for OneBread in its goal of helping the most vulnerable children.

My name is Najlae Ouchani, I recently relocated from Morocco to the United States. With 12 years of experience as a functional manager and bid administrator, I specialize in team management, project sourcing, and stakeholder coordination. I’m skilled in database organization, compliance, and hold a PMP certification. My strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously have led to a proven track record of enhancing departmental efficiency through effective templates for project sourcing and bid tracking. 

Outside of work, I’m passionate about traveling, family trip planning, and interior design, where I enjoy modernizing décor and giving antiques a contemporary twist.

Bianca is a native of California and recently moved to Northern Idaho.  After a career in software development, she spent 15 years working for Community Presbyterian Church as a coordinator to 60 mission partners located all over the world.  Bianca has a heart for missionaries who are on the front lines for Christ and for those who suffer from abuse.

 

Leslie Demmert
Talent Acquisition Partner - colorado


Leslie is a seasoned recruiting and staffing expert with 23 years of experience, renowned for her talent in connecting people with opportunities. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Arizona, which has enhanced her strong communication skills and empathetic approach. Now based in Denver, Colorado, Leslie is passionate about exploring diverse cultures through travel. In her free time, she loves kayaking in Colorado’s stunning landscapes and enjoying live music events. 

 

Tatiana Dias
Team Lead, Talent Resources - California

With a Bachelor in Economics, Tatiana has participated in a Cultural Exchange program and completed certifications in Human Resources Management and Programming. After work you can find Tatiana planning weekend trips, hiking by the coast, volunteering for meaningful causes and spending time with family and friends.

 

Chaitra Rao
Talent Resources Specialist - California



Chaitra is a Registered Behavior Technician and works as a paraprofessional at an Elementary School in San Ramon. She loves working with kids and believes that they help her more than she helps them. Chaitra has also worked as an Education and Operations Coordinator and as People Manager in some of her previous roles. With her daughter being in college and her son leaving next year, she feels that this is the right time for her to take up this volunteer opportunity along with her regular job.

Originally from Colombia, Diana graduated with honors from Business School and relocated to the States to do a college internship and finish her studies.

She is passionate about promoting a positive organizational culture and creating an inclusive workplace and looking to leverage her expertise to create effective HR strategies that positively impact the organization's growth and development.

Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering and participating as a Mental Health advocate. Diana is an avid traveler and loves learning more about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives.

Yifan is currently residing in Bay Area. She works as an engineer in a tech company now. Outside of work, Yifan is passionate in participating in community activities, a strong advocate for women's rights and child safety. She would like to leverage her expertises in leadership, project management and technology in this journey.

Shmuel Frederick
Microsoft Trainer & Technical writer - New York


Shmuel Frederick is a graduate of Queens College where he was awarded The Patricia Kendall Lazarsfeld Scholarship for academic excellence and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa for his outstanding undergraduate career. After college, he interned in business services at Queens Economic Development Corporation where he maintained the client database, met with clients to offer business advice, and conducted phone surveys to assess the effectiveness of the corporation’s activities. Later, as a human resource administrator, he recruited and trained new staff members for The Actor’s Theatre Workshop.
