HUMAN TRAFFICKING

According to the Human Trafficking Hotline In 2021 alone, a staggering 50,123 signals were received in the state of California, pointing to the pervasive presence of sex trafficking within its borders. Among these signals, 2,122 new cases of sex trafficking victims were identified, representing only a fraction of the actual number of victims. This indicates that numerous victims remain undetected or unreported.

Over the five-year period from 2017 to 2021, an estimated 2,000 to 4,000 new cases of sex trafficking were identified each year totaling in 13,521 identified cases in California alone. This consistent pattern of identifying thousands of new victims annually within the state serves as a stark reminder of the disturbing reality: the number of victims is steadily increasing. The most horrific part Is that these statistics solely encompass the victims who have already been identified, disregarding the significant number of individuals who remain unidentified.

The devastating truth is that many victims of sex trafficking go unnoticed and unaided. They endure unimaginable hardships, trapped in a life of exploitation and misery. Without the support and guidance they desperately need, they are left vulnerable and robbed of opportunities to pursue education and build a better future.

At our One Bread Foundation Inc. we are committed to putting an end to human trafficking. It is a battle we fight passionately, driven by the understanding that it not only takes a severe toll on individuals and society, but also enables the illegal movement of immigrants and serves as a source of income for dangerous criminal organizations and terrorists.

Together, we are working tirelessly to break the cycle of exploitation, and suffering. By raising awareness, funding support services, and advocating for change, we strive to create a world where every individual can live a life free from the horrors of human trafficking.  Learn more.
